Everything has been meticulously thought out so that you immediately feel at home here, whether staying for a short or long stay.
The house has been furnished and decorated with care, in a pure Norman style combining elegance, authenticity
and modernity to bring you luxury and comfort.
You will fall in love with the Pays d’Auge architecture with its thatched roof and half-timbered façade.
Inside, you find yourself surrounded by a universe entirely dedicated to wood: the house, furniture and decorative objects have been chosen to highlight this authentic local material. It is the dominant earthy element of this farmhouse offering a warm and cozy atmosphere.
Our charming cottage La Moutinière offers 2 accommodation capacities according to your needs :
- up to 6 people (on certain dates only)
- up to 10 people all year round.
Although the house can accommodate large groups of people, we didn’t want anyone feeling crowded and on top of one another. Therefore, we created dispersed common areas throughout the house so it is possible for everyone to have not only their own private living spaces, but also can feel free to find their own little niche amongst the rest of the cottage.
A living room with French chic and comfort
The salon of our charming cottage is a large living room of 500 square feet. With typical Norman architecture of hundred-year-old wood beams the salon is very bright and light benefiting from several doors and windows offering direct access to the spacious 1000 square foot terrace and the one-acre tree-lined garden.
In winter, you will particularly appreciate the evenings in front of the large fireplace which faces a spacious comfortable corner sofa. The furnishings are a mix of rustic antique and elegant country with contemporary modern accents.
For your entertainment pleasure we have installed a Smart TV (satellite reception, Netflix, Prime Video), Bose and Parrot sound systems. And for those who would like to come and work from home here in a calm and quiet atmosphere the house is equipped with a workstation with Ethernet access and printer.

family style dining
The 350 square feet kitchen offers a exceptionally large working space where you will find absolutely everything you need during your stay – dishes, utensils, pots and pans, and most importantly a variety of modern appliances. You!ll really want to test your culinary skills and explore the local markets in search of that 3 stars French meal in the making for your family and friends!
In the midst of winter, you’ll love our indoor kitchen grill with its fireplace at the worktop level allowing you to cook and dine by the fire.
An additional area completes the kitchen accommodations with a second cooking station, an American fridge,
and most importantly the ice maker…
For those of you less inclined to spend time in front of the stove we have a home chef option available making
your vacation even more relaxing and complete.
Billiards and game time means fun times
For pre and post dinner entertainment we have created a pool table room, complete with a French billiard table and the many board games that we leave at your disposal to delight young and old alike.
