Reservation and Payment Instructions
LA MOUTINIÈRE – CHARMING 4* GÎTE IN THE HEART OF THE PAYS D’AUGE
Only reservation requests with fully completed forms (see “Contact” page) can be taken into consideration.
Once the forms are completed and the dates validated, a contract and house rules will be sent to you. The reservation only becomes effective upon receipt of the signed documents, the proof of resort insurance and payment of the deposit.
The amount of the deposit at the time of booking is 40% of the stay to be paid by bank transfer. The balance is to be paid no later than 1 month before arrival by French check or bank transfer.
For foreigners or French people residing abroad, a travel insurance certificate including civil liability coverage of a minimum amount of 1M€/£/$ is necessary.
During some periods as well as in summer, reservations for weekends (2 nights) are not possible.
We regret to no longer welcome animals.
A security deposit of €2,500 is required and fully collected.
A mandatory package between 300/200€ is required depending on the reservation of 10 or 6 people for cleaning and laundry. This includes end-of-stay cleaning and maintenance of linen. It is payable at the latest, on the day of arrival.
What’s included in your rental
With the exception of the above, the prices are all inclusive and include:
- The complete premises (as defined in each accommodation offer)
- All household and pool linen
- Shower products
- Wood (winter only)
- Gas bottles for barbecue and plancha (summer)
- The baby kit
- Petanque equipment
- Christmas tree and decorations (end-of-year rentals)
- Wi-fi
- Charges (water, electricity, pool heating…) under normal conditions of use and respecting the instructions of the house manual.
Cancellation conditions
By the renter:
In the event of cancellation of the rental by the tenant, the conditions are as follows:
• Up to 2 months before arrival date, the amount will be refunded in full.
• Between 2 and 1 month before arrival date, the amount will be refunded up to 60% if the house could not be re-rented for the same dates.
• Less than 1 month before the date of entry into the premises, the entire rental will be kept if the house could not be re-rented for the same dates.
By the owner:
In the event of cancellation by the the owner before the arrival date and not covered by the termination clause of the contract, notification will be made by email followed by registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt. The owner will immediately return the deposit paid by the tenant unless the cancellation results from one of the provisions of the resolutory clause of the contract. The resolution is then not subject to an unsuccessful formal notice and will result solely from the non-performance of its commitments by the tenant.
The total amount of the rent will then be owed to the owner.
